Our Mission Statement

The Star of Zion is an award winning newspaper and journalistic media organization, published by the A.M.E. Zion Church as its official organ since 1876.  Being guided by the core values of truth, faith, and love, the Star seeks to raise the consciousness of readers with news that is current, relevant, and dependable.

Our main office is located in the great city of Charlotte, NC, in the A.M.E. Zion Corporate Headquarters on W. Sugar Creek Road. Here a monthly edition is designed, printed and mailed out all over the global denomination, reaching virtually all of the U.S. and many overseas readers.
