Nazarene A.M.E. Zion Celebrates 131st Church Anniversary

Citronelle, AL – Nazarene A.M.E. Zion Church in Citronelle, AL, celebrated their 131st Church Anniversary on Sunday, September 25, 2016 with the Rt. Rev. Seth O. Lartey, Presiding Bishop of the Alabama/Florida Episcopal District, as the guest preacher.

Bishop Lartey preached a powerful word from John 21: “Blessed To Serve – Feed My Sheep.”

Musical guest for this occasion was the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church Choir, under the direction of Anthony Allen. Program participants were Rev. Ronald Butler, Presiding Elder of the Mobile District; Rev. Anthony Griffin, Sr., pastor of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church/Citronelle, AL; Rev. Sanders H. Mason, III, pastor of Hope Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church/Whistler, AL; Isaiah McCree, Glenn McCree, Sr., and Quincy McCree of Nazarene A.M.E. Zion Church; and Rev. John P. Gant, Presiding Elder of the Jackson District.

We were also blessed by the presence of Mrs. Jacqueline W. Lartey, Missionary Supervisor. Rev. Larry Jacobs, pastor of Nazarene A.M.E. Zion Church, presided during the program.
