Rev. Kenneth Q. James Appointed Editor of Church School Literature

The General Secretary of Christian Education, Dr. Brenda Galloway Smith, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Kenneth Q. James as Editor of Church School Literature of The A.M.E. Zion Church. His responsibilities include planning, production, and evaluation of Church school literature and the Church School Herald-Journal.

In announcing this appointment, Dr. Smith notes that Dr. James brings a wealth of religious education experience and literary prowess to this position. Most recently, he served as a staff writer for the Church School Herald-Journal, a member of the Uniform Series of the National Council of Churches of Christ, USA, and is the author of six books and numerous articles. He has lectured throughout the United States and abroad. Dr. James is a product of Zion’s educational institutions. He is an honor graduate of Clinton and Livingstone Colleges, and earned the Master of Divinity and the Doctorate in Ministry, both with honors, from Hood Theological Seminary. Dr. James has also served as a successful pastor in The A.M.E. Zion Churches.
