Relief Assistance to Tornado Victims - A Message from Bishop Seth O. Lartey

Posted

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus.

The Bible teaches us to Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ Galatians 6:2. On Sunday March 3, 2019, Lee County, Alabama experienced catastrophic tornadoes of EF4 magnitude. These tornados caused mass destruction in a community where Zion is present. As a result of these tornados, 23 lives were tragically taken in a 28-mile path. In addition, homes were destroyed, and lives were scattered. Praise God that the resilience and unwavering faith of those affected is the source of hope and inspiration to overcome what the enemy meant for bad.

This letter is a call to our Brothers and Sisters in Zion to be our brother’s keeper and express compassion and love to those suffering. We ask local churches, districts and conferences for a compassionate financial offering toward restoration of families and Zion Churches. Please make your check payable to the Alabama-Florida Episcopal District, in memo: Alabama Tornado Relief Fund. Please submit your love offering by March 18, 2019 to the following address:

Alabama Florida Episcopal District

808 South Lawrence Street

Montgomery, AL 36104

We appreciate your love and support. We pray God’s blessings upon you.

By His Grace,

Bishop Seth O. Lartey

Presiding Prelate

Alabama-Florida Episcopal District
