40 Years in Christian Ministry for Presiding Elder Rev. Florence S. Brown

Posted

LUMBERTON, NC – On the beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon of August 11, 2019 in the great city of Lumberton, NC, the members of the Clarkston District of the Cape Fear Ministry, along with General Officers and members of various annual conferences in Zion, came together at the Chrystalite A.M.E. Zion Church to honor and celebrate the woman of God: Rev. Dr. Florence Brown, Presiding Elder of the Clarkston District.

A cadre of program participants thought is not robbery to come and share in this most joyous occasion. The Holy Spirit was truly in this place as you could feel His presence in the reading of the scripture, praying of the prayers, and the jubilant voices of the Mt. Olive AME Zion Church Choir and the Clarkston District Choir. Not to mention the anointing of the Right Reverend Kenneth Monroe, the Presiding Prelate of the Eastern Episcopal District. His message was entitled “Risky Business,” taken from Esther 4:17-18. The house was definitely on fire.

Bishop Staccato Powell gave remarks and shared a tribute on leadership to Presiding Elder Brown, followed by other tributes given by those participating in the program.

To God be the glory for the things he has done and will do in the life of Presiding Elder Florence S. Brown.
