Livingstone College recently celebrated the academic and professional aspirations of 32 exceptional students during its 4th Annual White Coat Ceremony. This event, a milestone in the institution’s dedication to STEM excellence, honored students who achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher and displayed a strong passion for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The ceremony underscores Livingstone College's commitment to fostering future scientists equipped to tackle global challenges. With the support of initiatives like the Livingwell@Livingstone program, funded by a $2.24 million National Science Foundation grant, the college is enhancing research opportunities and workforce readiness for underrepresented students in STEM. This investment is complemented by state-of-the-art facilities such as the F. George Shipman Science Annex, which includes advanced labs and a planetarium for immersive learning experiences.
Livingstone continues to play a pivotal role in diversifying the STEM fields and empowering students to become leaders in research and innovation. The White Coat Ceremony is not only a recognition of individual achievement but also a celebration of the college's broader mission to prepare students for impactful careers.
