What a perfect way to start the New Conference year: Prayer.
Our Quadrennial theme this conference year is Reaching the Masses in An Ever-Changing World, The Journey Continues Self-Care and Wellness. It’s time for a spiritual health checkup. People talk about their health all the time, their mental, emotional, physical, environmental, spiritual, recreational, and social health. When it comes to our spiritual well-being, we may have had some challenging days, like when we battled jealousy or disappointment. We may have had days when we felt like Doubting Thomas or Jonah awash in the whale’s belly. That’s why we read our bibles and go to God in Prayer. We want to become better Christians and more spiritually healthy.
The Prayer Breakfast was a time to take stock of our spiritual health, to reflect upon it, and to open ourselves to the good medicine that is found in Prayer. We can all improve our spiritual well-being by striving to become the Christians we know that God wants us to be.
