The Star of Zion celebrates the inauguration of Livingstone College’s 13th President, Rev. Dr. Anthony J. Davis. President Davis comes to Livingstone College as a proven leader in Zion Methodism and an indefatigable force in higher education. Considering his fluency in the engagement of external constituencies to advance the mission of HBCU's, and his expertise in philanthropic research and institutional advancement, Davis was unanimously selected to serve as president from a pool of 40 plus candidates by the college's Board of Trustees. More notably, a 2001 graduate of Livingstone, Davis is the first alumnus in 25 years to lead Zion’s chief academic institution.
